Our DIY Built-In's

The IKEA Billy Bookshelf has been a staple since the 1970's. It's a classic and they are inexpensive and easy to customize; the hardest part is finding all of the pieces in stock! After we purchased the pieces for our space (we got 3 full width bookshelves and 1 half width, as well as an extender for each. We also purchased coordinating doors for the piece because we have a 3 month old and figure it will be much easier to baby proof bookshelves with doors on the bottom half than full bookshelves). The pieces that we bought were the perfect size for an easy weekend transformation/installation using our already existing 4 inch baseboards and 8 ft ceilings.
